Let’s Get Smarter – April Community Education Meeting

We love having you get smarter with us about mental health at our community education meetings! Our next meeting is March 25, 2025 via Zoom. Details about our March speaker coming soon.

How do we get smarter? We ask the experts and those with lived experience in all aspects of the mental health and wellness field to come speak at our community education meetings so we can find peace of mind and have less stress when caring for our loved ones with a brain disorder. Better mental health outcomes for all is our ultimate goal.

Our April community education is on April 22, 2025 from 7pm to 8:30pm at FACES, 11601 Lucks Ln, Midlothian, VA 23114.

And our Speaker is: Alexis Rose who will speak about what happens when a call comes into 911, how the call is processed, the questions they ask and how it is dispatched. Alexis will also talks about what happens when a call initially comes into 911 but get routed to the suicide help Line 988.

See Alexis Rose’s bio below and join us in-person on April 22nd!

Alexis Rose has been a 911 Professional at the Chesterfield Virginia Emergency Communications Center since November of 1999.  During her employment she has served as a front line Cross Trained Emergency Communications Officer, Trainer, Lead Dispatcher, CPR Instructor, EMD Instructor, CORE team member and her path has now taken her to the Training Facilitator position.  Alexis feels passionately about this career choice and loves helping the citizens in their time of need and feels lucky that she gets to be there during some of their best moments.  She landed the Facilitator position accidentally but stayed because she fell in love with it and can’t imagine being anywhere else.
